This page explains how to delete your account for Short Game Doctor, the mobile app operated by Steve Tiley, and exactly what happens to your data when you do.
Delete your account from inside the app
The fastest way is in the app itself. It takes effect immediately — there is no waiting period and no confirmation email.
- Open Short Game Doctor and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when asked. You will be signed out, and your account is gone.
If you can’t sign in
If you no longer have the app installed, or you can’t get into your account, email us and we will delete it for you. Please send your request from the email address you signed up with, so we can be sure the account is yours.

We will action requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
What is deleted
The following is erased permanently and cannot be recovered:
- Your profile — name, email address, date of birth, home club, handicap and WhatsApp number
- Your profile photo, removed from our file storage
- Every round you have recorded, including course names, per-hole statistics and individual shot detail
- Your video purchase history and any lesson bookings
- All sign-in tokens, so every device is signed out
What is kept, and for how long
We keep a record of any shop orders you placed. UK tax law requires businesses to retain records of sales, so these are held for six years from the end of the relevant financial year, then deleted.
A retained order record holds the order number, the items and amount, the delivery name, address and phone number you gave at checkout, and the payment reference. It is detached from your account at the point of deletion, so it is no longer linked to a login, a profile or any of your golf data.
We rely on Article 17(3)(b) of the UK GDPR for this, which allows personal data to be retained where it is necessary to meet a legal obligation. If you placed no orders, nothing is kept at all.
